Originally I was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska and love fresh water lakes and mountains. For college, it was nutrition at Oregon State University and chiropractic college at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena Texas. Having migraines as a child, and passion for cooking, very quickly the relationship between food and various uncomfortable symptoms became indisputable! Through extensive research and working for chiropractors in high school and college, the path in the areas of whole foods nutrition, led to an interest in chiropractic. When proper body chemistry, structural function, and the emotional aspect are all in balance, the healthy life triad is complete! After 31+ years in practice, my greatest passion and joy is to treat the babies of the babies who started with me when I first started practice!
I was born and raised in Plano Texas. Subsequently, I attended Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida where I earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology, a minor in Exercise Science and was a significant contributor to the wormen's basketball team. My family and I are strong believers in the holistic approach to health and wellness. Health, fitness, nutrition, and dogs are my passions! Since the spring of 2016, I have worked with Dr. Moore and it has been nothing short of amazing! Each day is so rewarding as I get to help people progress in their health goals!
I am married and a mother of 4 grown children with many grandchildren. We have raised a great family and had our own printing business. Possessing a caring spirit, I attended and graduated St. Vincent's school of nursing in Santa Fe New Mexico as an LPN. Over the years I have worked in many different fields in nursing. The commonality in all that I have done is a strong caring spirit for people. With that, I came to work with Dr. Moore 5 years ago! The team here is great to be with and my greatest joy is see people improve their health and overall quality of life. They become part of my family too as we share the stories of their family and friends!
My interest in wellness did a complete 180*. In my mid 20's I was very ill and the medical community wanted to do experimental surgery. I found a chiropractor who used all sorts of techniques and things that were very new to me. He helped me to fully recover, without surgery! I became completely fascinated with the fields of body work and natural, preventive health care methods in general.
As a massage therapist for 22 years, I get to help facilitate a client's journey to wellness and recovery. I feel like a body detective, figuring out the initial cause by working backwards through the body's compensation patterns. This process happens most effectively with a holistic multidisciplinary approach! I am very happy to be a part of this amazing team!!!
Shannon Cox is a Certified Practitioner in both the Emotion Code and the Body Code. She was raised in Ogden, UT and currently resides in Garland, Texas with her husband have 5 children. I have always been very interested in a natural health lifestyle for us as a family. When we relocated to Texas, I met Dr. Moore. She and I worked together through some health issues via chiropractic, nutrition as well as looking at the mind body interrelationship with the Emotion Code. The results were really life changing in myself and family. It was at this point when I truly felt compelled to become trained in this technique so that I could help others get free from detrimental emotions manifesting as pain, anxiety and disease.
